How Make A Dried Flower Arrangement For Your Home
Dried Arrangements within the home continue to trend on Instagram - and we can still see why! Their rustic look is enough to transform any vibe of your home or premises. While fresh flowers die after a week or so, dried flowers are proven to show beauty afterlife! Lasting forever, with very little maintenance, they will bring an aesthetic look to any corner or shelf in the home.
Follow this quick blog to see how you can make a gorgeous dried arrangement for any home, premises, or even as a gift!
What You Will Need:
- Wheat
- Mini Pampus
- Painted Berch
- Bleached Ruscus
- Flower Market Tin -
- Floristry Scissors - SC4608
- Wire - WR6005
Step 1)
Building this arrangement shouldn't take too long, and is messier than it is time-consuming! To make this arrangement you will want to make the bouquet into a spiral shape - this will give it lots of volume around the outside, as well as make it stand securely in the bottom of the tin.
Making a spiral hand-tied bouquet takes a bit of practice, but once you have got started it should fall into place. Make sure the stems cross at the bottom, and you rotate the bouquet in your hand after adding groups of the dried flowers (rather than sticking straight up or down), this will naturally cause it to spiral as it goes.
When adding your dried flowers together, use a small pile of Wheat and a few stems of Painted Berch, and then add in an individual Bleached Ruscus, then another small pile of Wheat and a few stems of Painted Berch and then a Mini Pampus. Continue this pattern;
- A few stems of Wheat
- 3-4 stems of Painted Berch
- Indivual Bleached Ruscus
- A few stems of Wheat
- 3-4 stems of Painted Berch
- Mini Pampus
- Back to start
Once you have your starting bunch, continue to add the same pattern of dried to make a nice full bouquet. Make sure to try and turn the bouquet in your hand, so that as you add it fills all the way around equally and not just one-sided. Continue to turn and add more until you reach the desired look you wish to achieve.
Step 2)
Once you have your desired fullness of the bouquet in your hand, and it looks as though it will fit perfectly into the tin/vase you have chosen, it is now time to tie your bouquet!
Keep your hand firmly in place in the middle of the bouquet, and use your other hand to wrap tightly around the bouquet multiple times. When the string has gone around multiple times and it is secure, you can gently place the bouquet down and tie the string in a tight knot.
Step 3)
Finally, it's time to cut the stems of the dried bouquet, firstly pop the arrangement into your chosen Tin or Vase, and then measure how tall you would like the arrangement to poke out of the top. We cut off about 20cm, which made the arrangement sit snug inside the Tin, while still looking full all around, and having a nice height to it.
Place your arrangement into your tin and enjoy having a beautiful trending piece of decor in your home or premises!
